Defined by classic typhoon swells the most famous break, Cloud Nine, can offer up world class barrels. With over 7000 other islands to choose from the possibilities are almost endless with hundreds of known breaks. Unfortunately outside of the main north-east swells there can be long flat periods. Between May and September it is almost entirely flat. Water temperatures hover around 21 to 25°C or 63 to 77°F. First surfed by American servicemen in 1960s and becoming an increasingly popular destination, if you score this region you will remember it.
