Arguineguin has a few different breaks that work in big W swells and N to E winds. La Derecha Misteriosa is a fun, high tide right breaking off the north end of the bay at the marina. South of town, the playa holds a boulder right in front of the football pitch and a left towards the cement factory at low to mid. Long rides, good for practising manouvers and accessible for all levels.
Always crowded when it works which isn't that often. Free camping area generates rubbish near the water.
Free camping with a gypsy vibe

This graph shows the percentage of days that had a ridable wind swell (7 seconds period or more) or groundswell (10 seconds period or more) of over 3ft. It also shows the dominant wind direction. Not all of these days will neccessarily give great surf, and very short lived wind swells or longer period secondary swells may produce surf not recorded, but it gives a clear idea of the seasonal trend and a rough guide to the chances of scoring something ridable.
