One of the few remaining surfing areas at Atlantic Beach, this break will be particularly good when the swell sweeps up the coastline from the SW. Incoming tide best.
Observe ?distance from pier? laws, in this case 200ft (67m). Apparently, surfers invited the best fisherman to come and see how far they could cast. The longest cast was well shy of 200ft, which resulted in the pier distance restrictions being reduced from 250ft (83m). Facilities include restrooms, showers, camping, telephones, and a lifeguard in summer.

This graph shows the percentage of days that had a ridable wind swell (7 seconds period or more) or groundswell (10 seconds period or more) of over 3ft. It also shows the dominant wind direction. Not all of these days will neccessarily give great surf, and very short lived wind swells or longer period secondary swells may produce surf not recorded, but it gives a clear idea of the seasonal trend and a rough guide to the chances of scoring something ridable.
