WHILST SPOT CHECKING A FEW OF THE BOYS CAME ACROSS 2 GRAYS BEAKED WHALES STRANDED ON THE INCOMING TIDE.AT ABOUR 5m LONG AND WEIGHING 1000 KG THEY WERE HARD TO MOVE.WE WORKED ON THE FEMALE WHO WAS FURTHER OUT TO SEA AND MANAGED TO HAVE HER SWIMMING BUT SHE CAME BACK IN TO BE WITH THE MALE WHO HAD SADLY ALREADY DROWNED IN THE SHOREDUMP.THERE WAS NO CELLPHONE
COVER BUT WE LATER INFORMED DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION WHO PERFORMED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH.
