When the north coast is maxed-out on big swells, a peak breaks out in the bay off Correlejo. Starts outside as a big, bombora style, right shoulder, but inside there's a faster and shallower left. Long rides, deeper water and easy paddle-outs make Rocky Point perfect for intermediates and longboarders.
Gets rammed when it works which isn't that often. Some bad rocks getting in and out. Difficult to find down one-way road from town. Look for the empty plot to access the reef. Don't leave anything in the car.
one way road from centre of town then through an untilled plot

This graph shows the percentage of days that had a ridable wind swell (7 seconds period or more) or groundswell (10 seconds period or more) of over 3ft. It also shows the dominant wind direction. Not all of these days will neccessarily give great surf, and very short lived wind swells or longer period secondary swells may produce surf not recorded, but it gives a clear idea of the seasonal trend and a rough guide to the chances of scoring something ridable.
