Home to 3 generations of Italian surfers, this reef miraculously breaks under SE, SW, W and NW swells. First place to check on any conditions and attracts big crowds from the capital on every swell. The reef holds righthanders with SW and W swells and lefthanders with SE.
Gets shallow on the inside where sea-urchins lurk. Decent water quality. Probably the most crowded spot in Italy, but many other waves break just up and down the coast. South of Santa Marinella along SS 1 Aurelia.
