We would like to share our passion with our students and offer a fun packed & professional way of teaching that will make you want to continue on your own surfing journey for a long time. We operate on the beaches at Porthcawl, Rest Bay & Coney beach. Our lesson locations will depend on the tide and swell conditions at the time. We are also happy to go to a beach of your choice due to our flexibility and understanding. ![]() Lee Bateman has been surfing the beaches of South Wales and some of the best breaks Europe has to offer from the age of 13. He has been teaching people how to surf on the Gower beaches long before his idea of starting up the Beachbreak Surf School which has gone from being a dream to becoming a reality. ![]() Our lessons consist of on land demonstration: - Warm Up Getting to know your board Surf safety Paddling & catching waves Techniques Through to catching & riding your first of many waves ![]() All our lessons are 2 1/2 hours long; boards and wetsuits provided within the price of the lesson. The boards we use are EPS/Epoxy Core softboards at 7ft and 8ft. These are ideal for beginners through to experienced surfers. These will give the rider the float and stability needed to turn you from student to fully stoked surfer! We also have a range of quality wetsuits to fit all students. Surf Hire For surf hire, wetsuit hire, boots, hats, gloves, leashes and anything else you may need to go surfing. A range of surfboard hire is usually available, whether you want to rent an SUP, body board, mini-mal or short board. |
