Ben Howard returns to Bournemouth this October 12th at the Old Fire Station as part of the UK wide 'Every Kingdom' Tour. It will be nearly a year since his last performance in Bournemouth supporting Xavier Rudd. In that time he has signed with Island Records and is on headline tours of his own, achieving extensive Radio 1 airtime and Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Record in the World' on two occasions. Ben has a new album out October 3rd and brings freshness to the acoustic form, originality in his lap guitar percusives and a vocal lustre that gives a brand new feel to songs which could be as old as the hills.
Co promoters - Ydna Boardriders Live are proud to bring Ben to Bournemouth for the 5th time, they explain
"Its amazing to see a good guy make it and a talented songwriter too. Ben's got a real following, having impressed all-comers on previous performances at the Winchester and Sixty Million Postcards .. we're stoked to have been involved since 2009. It might be his 5th gig in Bournemouth but it really feels like the 1st ". Ben has amassed a secret society of fans via the UK’s fiercely loyal surfing community that has already spread over the water to Germany, France and Holland.
Life on the road with his band - India on cello, and Chris on bass and drums – has made them a close knit unit, and given them all a heightened “awareness of sound”. You can hear it too, in the gentle, note perfect harmonies and the fragility in which they are delivered. They hush rooms, scatter the audience with a sense of euphoria, and leave them desperate for much more.
