There are so many surf spots on Oahu. Those guys who drove to the north shore at 3am arent too smart. Pipe is for big WNW, and its so fickle. many other spots pick up north/east swell. They could have driven 15 minutes and surfed an overhead puntable fast left. And that beach break they scored, is not really a sand bar its actually a reef shelf about 1ft deep, with a white sand beach. Not as easy as they made it look.
