i was out at one of the spots shown in this clip with Tom and can defo say it was harder than Tom made it look! What a session he scored that day tho, got all the best waves!
When I was a kid I always thought big waves and good surf were all about guys in shorts in the Pacific somewhere. Turns out this was just the story so far.
This is all about discovery, with Atlantic swell coming into its own in recent years, waves of just as good quality and size as you get in Hawaii, just colder. Great video
Rocks, snowy mountains, a few wrecks, tight barrels, icy water etc... just makes those warm-water woossers I've just been watching showing off at Pipe look a wee bit childish...Éire abú!
Great vid showcasing some great waves, if they were not so cold there would be hundreds of guys camped out in front of all those spots......cold water/terrain has its advantages..... :-)
my ancestors are from the Orkney Islands. I've never been there and had no idea there was world class surf there. Some bits of that looked like coldwater uluwatu. Wow.
