After many months of the beach receding, the bars disappearing and it looking like Cabedelo was destroyed for good by the Harbour wall extension work, the sand bars have been developing and once again Cabedelo is alive!
The right hand break off the harbour wall at Cabedelo is now much further out than it used to be but the shape and small wedge which bounces off the wall is working beautifully. Just starting to crank earlier this week everybody has been getting in the water and scoring class glass head high hollow waves, it’s amazing to be reminded how well the wave is sheltered from northerly winds and how consistently clean this break can be.
Let’s just hope these banks are here to stay and the beach continues to grow back the way it currently is.
