We have carried out a complete renovation and are thrilled to have opened Casa Fajara as a year round venue. Guests have exclusive use of our full-sized swimming pool and tennis courts including complimentary racket hire. In addition, we are pleased to offer a selection of treatments at Fajara including Stress Relieving massages and yoga.

Just thirty minutes drive from either the cosmopolitan city of Lagos or the Moorish town of Aljezur, the sleepy fishing village of Carrapateira is an idyllic retreat, where life continues at a relaxed pace. With a daily market, general store, cafes serving delicious coffee and restaurants that specialise in locally caught fish and seafood, Carrapateira has everything you could possibly need for a perfect holiday.

This historic region has much to share - exploring the local villages you can see ancient farming practices and customs still very much alive today; A short drive to the town of Aljezur, founded by the Moors, where you can climb to the old castle and see for miles around or perhaps a leisurely drive across the hills through the historic village of Marmelete and on to the spa town of Monchique to sample the spring waters.

Need a shopping fix or a night on the town? Within a 30 minute drive, the ancient town of Lagos, with its rambling city walls and charming street cafes, has a wide selection of shops, restaurants and bars. At night it “comes alive” with the young and the beautiful promenading through the streets, the atmosphere is incredible. The international airport at Faro is 90km away and is served by regular flights from all major UK and European airports, as well as offering several daily links with Lisbon for those making connections from further-a-field.
