Consistent, slow, intermediate-friendly walls, spread along the beach plus to the north, a reasonable right breaks off Pentire Point at size. Consistent and crowded at this popular holiday spot. Full facilities. This sheltered beachbreak needs SW winds and a solid winter swell. Best at mid tide, closes-out at low and gets washy at high. One of the few storm options so gets very busy, including the odd surf school. Car park by the beach. No facilities Swell magnet, beachbreak peaks in the middle of the bay, left off the reef at the south end, right off the point at the north end (quality depends on sand flow from river) and Booby's to the north has a good but fickle low tide right reef. Can get very rippy with an overhead swell. Small car park and toilets at south end of beach.
