Cornish Sea Tours
RIB Sea Safaris and Power boat trips from Newquay to Bude with Cornish Sea Tours.
Launching from Rock on the Camel Estuary (across the river from Padstow) we explore the incredibly beautiful coastline and islands of North Cornwall normally completely inaccessible to the visitor. Our boat is a 6.3m RIB called Mor Cannow (Cornish for Sea Song). RIBS are sometimes referred to as the 4x4s of the sea, perfect for exploring the Islands, caves and headlands of the North Coast. Our boat trips are mostly focussed on exploring the coastline and discovering Cornwall’s rich marine wildlife. Matthew your skipper is a trained Zoologist and keen naturalist who has walked, kayaked and coasteered this piece of coast for several years. Armed with binoculars you can expect (depending on the time of year) to see Basking Sharks, Seals, Dolphins, Porpoises, Puffins, Gannets and many other varieties of seabirds.
Rock to the Rumps Tour
Heading out from Rock the tour crosses Hayle Bay (Polzeath) then around the stunning Pentire Headland past Newland Island. We then pass under the looming 350ft laval cliffs of Pentire as we head towards the Iron-age hill forts of The Rumps, passing sheltered reefs where we often see seals.
The Rumps Tour costs £45 per adult and £35 per child under 14. The tours run for approximately 2 hours and all safety equipment is provided. We do recommend bringing a warm layer, a waterproof jacket and sun cream.
