AHOI at Element Called Water – Surf camps
We’re much more than just another Surf camp. Our purpose is to show you what we believe surfing is really all about, not just cash in on the hype. It’s about nature, friendships, passion, stoke, respect, sport and last but certainly not least, a state of mind. Everything started 10 years ago with this first wave and especially the goal to ride waves. Shortly after, we founded our first Element Called Water – Surf camp in 2005 in France.

Accommodation:At all our camps you won't sleep in a tent, we count on comfortable rooms to enjoy your stay to the fullest. It doesn't matter if you are travelling as a group or by your own, we make you feel at home.
Food:Every morning we serve a healthy breakfast to supply you with sufficient energy for a proper surf session. On 1 evenings we guarantee a big fat dinner for example a flaming burger right off the grill or a solid BBQ. Of course is our kitchen open to everyone and you are welcome to cook your own meals. Our shuttle bus frequently hits the local shops and restaurant to get the local flavour.
Entertainment:The swimming pool, the chilling lounge, the skate mini ramp, the movie room, the table-soccer and especially our camp bar entertains you to the fullest. Beside of this, there is plenty of space for soccer, volley or take a ride to the Beach or a walk to the Lake of Soustons, depends in which camp you stay.
After a successful surf session you might like to cool down, while sipping on a cold beer or kick the bucket on a Hossegor nightlife stray.
Surfing:The beaches offer perfect surf conditions for beginners and surf cracks. We work together with the local French surf school „Authentique – École de surf. Before you jump in the ocean you will get a solid surf theory to give you the right understanding of the element.
The three licensed surf instructor of the Surfrider Association France will guide you in level adjusted lessons to a successful surf session. To the beach you get either by our shuttle bus or you take your own car to be more independent.
IntroYou want to surf perfect waves without to spend 12 hours in a plane? You also want to collect some shafts of sunlight before winter? We have found the perfect spot for both, Lanzarote on the Canary Islands! Pleasurable 20-26 degrees air temperature, loads of sun, 20-23 degrees water temperature, constant clean swell and the perfect choice of reef-, point- and beach breaks, make Lanzarote to a unique surf destination.
Timewindow:In our new Element Called Water Surfcamp on Lanzarote is the door open for 6 weeks from 27.10. – 08.12.2012.
Location:The surf camp is in Famara, on the northwestern coast of Lanzarote located. The charming, typical Canary Island village is surrounded by cliffy headlands and offers several reef- and beach breaks. From Famara are the best spots easily accessible.
Accomodation:You overnight in a typical Canary Condos, which are apartments up to for 4 people. All apartments have its own kitchen, living room, fridge, bathroom and plenty of space.
Food:On a daily base we serve a healthy breakfast to provide you with heaps of energy to start in long day of surfing. The surf course includes a lunch pack. In the evening the local restaurant and tapas bars offer delicious culinary dinners to affordable prices. Of course you can cook your own dinner in your Condo kitchen too.
Entertainment:Beside surfing, surfing and once again surfing, Lanzarote has way more to offer. The island is ideally to discover by a rental car. Good street conditions, rare traffic and short distances allow you to easily discover the island. Different bars guarantee you a cool nightlife.
Equipment:Depends on your picked Deal, either you get your surf board and wetsuit provided by the local surf school or you bring your own along. Of course you will get provided with wetsuit for the colder days.
Surfing:The long stretched beach offers ideal surf conditions for beginners and advanced surfers. We work together with the local surf school “Famarasurf”, which gives all surf lessons for us.
Before you throw yourself in the waves you will get a solid surf theory with all helpful hints to improve your surfing. For advanced surfers we recommend to rent a car (approx. 120Euros/week) to reach all relevant surf spots. The world famous wave called San Juan and the WQS contest take directly place in Famara. Further point-, reef-, and beach breaks are also located close to town. The waves on Lanzarote are powerful and top-to-bottom barrels are on a regular base. Check:
www.famarasurf.comTimeframe Morocco:Our partner surf camp Swellsearch Tours is located in Taghazout and has its doors open from November till March.
Location:The Swellsearch Tours Surfhouse is situated close to the ocean, just a couple kms away from Agadir in the famous village Taghazout. In the past years the town has become an international top spot in the surfing scene.
A food market, various restaurants, surf shops and a handful internet cafe’s – all of this is reachable in a few minutes by foot. Within just 5 minutes you are at the promising home spot to score some perfect waves.
Accomodation:The rooms are all in Moroccan style furnished. There are double rooms, a chilling living room, kitchen to use, showers (hot water) and a bathroom with European standards. From the roof terrace you got a spectacular overview of the three surf spots (Hash Point, Anchor Point und Panoramas), the beautiful sunset and the unique street life of Taghazout.
Food:After a healthy breakfast on our terrace you start in an eventful day. To make sure, that you won’t suffer on a lack of energy there will also be served a proper dinner on 5 evenings.The remaining days you have the possibility to discover the local food in one of the several authentic restaurants in town. Try the typical dish “Tajine” or the catch of the day and enjoy distinctive “Whisky Morocco”.
Equipment:If you already own a surf board, you are welcome to bring it along. If you want to avoid the risk of flight damages or do not have one, we naturally got a quiver of surf boards in different length and shapes. Here‘s is the selection of NSP & BIC boards: 6,8./ 7,2. /7,3./7,6./ 7,9 and 8,4.
Morocco Surfing:The most efficient way to learn surfing is under assistance of an experienced surf instructor. The course for beginner is structured in 5 days lessens of 2h per day.
The surf spots Hashpoint, Panoramas and the 4km stretched beach lays right in front of the house. To get the most out of your stay we offer in 5 days a transfer to the surrounding breaks out of Taghazout, depends on the surf conditions.
