[PT-Connor Mower's Review]
Connor Mower
Well, I've only been surfing for about a year and a half now, and I mainly surf at westward ho! in North Devon as its the easiest option for me, I'm also part of the surf club down there. I usually surf my 8'6 Minimal, which is actually a really nice board to ride. I surf often, which means I improved pretty quickly, and I'm now a fairly confident surfer, moving onto more advanced stuff.

When I first looked at these fins, I thought to myself, they looked fairly average in shape, nothing really too special about them. Then I picked them up, and realized they were actually very lightweight. I couldn't really put this down to anything else except the materials, and the slightly slimmer profile. After realizing this, on the wave I could easily feel the difference having lighter fins. Flying through the water the back end felt a lot looser. I put these fins on a mini-mal, and even on that, I was able to whip the back end round a fair bit. Also, I noticed a bit more drive off the take off with these fins. One of the days I was going out, the surf was pumping and I was rushing to get out there, and being an idiot, I dropped my board, straight on the fins. I thought that was it, and the fins would be destroyed, when I picked the board up, I was surprised. They were unharmed. I don't know a lot about fin materials, but I thought these would be really delicate, but they were actually really strong, and stood up well.

Even though these fins have these few good points, for me, an intermediate surfer, I don't think, because of the price, I would buy these fins. But for someone, a bit more advanced than me, looking for something new, these would be the perfect fins. Also I think if I could do airs, these fins would be good for that, purely because of how light they are. So overall, I would say these fins are perfect for the more advanced surfer looking for something new, but their not for me, although I did enjoy the change from my normal fins.
