OH good god that looks fun, Taj and Jay at play by shot and edited by Riley Blakeway to the strains of Frequency by Unouomedude.

A solid tune wraps this edit, but really they should have used Vanessa Williams' Save The Best For Last as part three of this series Taj accidentally produced with Jay Davies and Riley Blakeway is a whopper draped in aquamarine ermine.

It was only after Taj's dad broke his arm skateboarding, curtailing a family boat trip, that Taj/Jay/Blake and eventually Kelly Slater hooked up with a helicopter and created this. Time for a holiday.

I'll help you all a bit here. This is Wilkes Pass which is a five minute boat ride from Namotu...nothing secret. You can tell as in the very beginning, you see Tavi and Namotu in the distance. Wilkes is a UNREAL right, one of the best, but it only takes calm winds in the offseason - a reason to go to Namotu during the winter months. Possibly why there are no surfers in the line up...Enjoy this great clip of a great spot.

I live in Denmark. I'm dreaming of 1 foot glassy mush. In fact I once were so surf desperate that I dreamt of surfing in a haystack. I would name my next daughter Taj Burrow if I could get a chance to surf such waves.....

That's an amazing anecdote, anyone would think surfing was addictive.

Combining haystacks and surfing could be an idea worth harvesting, certainly sown a few seeds in my mind ... Riding giant haystacks ...Strawdogs town and z boy ....September crop cutting sessions...

As stoked as I was this morning at 6 am pulling on my wetsuit, booties, and gloves to go paddle into some glassy one foot mush, I am now officially jealous. Thanks MSW for ruining my dawn patrol

Seems like a needless use of a helicopter and a ski to get some average footage which was totally overshadowed by the natural beauty of the place (that was no doubt ruined for the entire time they were present). Leave nothing but your 'carbon' footprints?

Should be more worried about the global beef consumption rise rather than the use of a helicopter and jet ski! The amount of rainforest destroyed for their farming and the future of places like china upping there levels of cow related intake. far more damage is done for the sake of burgers than will ever happen due to personal and public transport. You should wrap up the narcissistic eco warrior attitude and become a vegetarian. Rant #1 of the day complete!!

That vid didn't really feature heavily in global beef consumption.

Wasn't the natural beauty of the place 'that overshadowed the average footage' the thing that made the footage absolutely awesome? I agree the surfing might not have been the most exciting. The natural beauty was what made the movie stand out for me... Yes, they could've built Da Vinci's man-powered flying machine to reduce their carbon footprint, but I doubt they would've managed to get it to work in time to capture these shots of this the swell (or any swell in this lifetime).

Good job it wasn't a beef powered chopper.

whats even more concerning is the amount of c02 created every day in england from unnecessary whinging!.....

fortunately a lot of that carbon is locked away in the fillings of our bad teeth

i really like the message about beef in this video clip. it was presented in a very unique and subtle way

Badland while I'd usally be with your point; the CO2 released getting Taj there, powering the helicopter, and getting me to the Pacific when I've got the dollar is worth it!
