Porto de Galinhas is a well-known tourist resort with 10 hotels and 60 pousadas. There's a shallow, outside reef that can have good waves on glassy days. Close to Galinhas harbour is a punchy right and an occasional left, it takes about 10min to paddle out to the waves.
