JAMES Skerritt is name you'll see again. Very much in the mold of the Celtic surf movie, this short drops fresh from a well-received round of the film festivals.
For us it's a much needed summer reminder that winter in the Atlantic is the real high season.
Glass follows a surfer (Ollie O'Flaherty), photographer (George Karbus) and shaper (Tom Doidge Harrison) living on the West Coast of Ireland, providing a glimpse into lives dominated by their proximity and addiction to the restless Atlantic shore.
"Ireland doesn't give things for free. You have to wait and you have to wait and you have to deserve it... That's Ireland" George Karbus
We caught up with James to delve a bit deeper into the project over the next pages.
Irish swell, its like a pint of guinness. Black, cold and heavy, bit of a wait involved but jaysus its worth it! Raise a pint and toast a geimhreadh alainn.
