Grommets get to go at GoldCoast

In keeping with the GoldCoast Oceanfest ethos of developing the
grassroots of the beach sports culture, the 2007 surfing event will
be the ‘O’Neill Gromfest at Oceanfest’

For the first time since 2001, we welcome back the format for the
young up and coming surfers to take to the main stage and strut
their stuff. With the Braunton School surf team recently making it
three British Schools titles in a row the locals will aim to own
their home zone.

So if you reckon you could be a GoldCoast winner, and you are aged under 16 (as of 1st January 2007), then now is your chance to earn that
coveted title, which does not come around too often. There will be limited numbers in each age group
so keep your eyes fixed on the Oceanfest web site for entry forms
coming soon. All entries must be in by the 13th June 2007 and beach entries will only be available if there is space. Don’t bank on it though and just a reminder to the rest of the family to buy
your tickets online before the sell out.
