Stormrider Description
Most exposed beach in Cornwall, no surf here means no surf anywhere. Beachbreak peaks and a fickle right point over sand/rock at the north end of the bay.
Hard to find, either walk from Sennen or get a map and go through Escalls to Tregiffian Farm where there's a car park at the top of the cliff.

Local Knowledge
I must admit that I agree the spot should be pulled from the site. Having the cove is near enough for wave data (which is very helpful thanks team!).

Hi Guys. As a signed up surf school and advertising company I am a huge fan of Magic seaweed and use it daily. Im sure Im not the first to contact you with this concern but would appreciate your thoughts. Allowing Gwenvor to have its own report has seen numbers rise and on occasion inexperienced surfers choosing Gwenvor as an alternative to the safer, accessible and more lifeguarded location of Sennen. As a local surfer and businessman Im fully aware of the draw Gwenvor brings and appreciate the advertising Magic seaweed offers us (sennen surfing centre) on the Gwenvor page as well as the sennen page. However, as a local surfer and fully aware of the locals thoughts, I feel this may be damaging the spot and I'm sure you are aware of the sensitivity of what has been up untll the last 3 years, a fairly local surf break. I do not claim Gwenvor to be a secret spot, far from it in fact but with the additional advertising MSW offers I'm concerned it may become progessively more overcrowded. I'd appreciate your thoughts and any action you may consider to ammend the site. many thnaks Dave Muir Sennen surfing centre

This graph shows the percentage of days that had a ridable wind swell (7 seconds period or more) or groundswell (10 seconds period or more) of over 3ft. It also shows the dominant wind direction. Not all of these days will neccessarily give great surf, and very short lived wind swells or longer period secondary swells may produce surf not recorded, but it gives a clear idea of the seasonal trend and a rough guide to the chances of scoring something ridable.
