"NATURE the cruel beast that she is, you can't control her and she opened up her world on us this summer... It rained for a month straight with no waves."

Chapter 6 is another two-parter from Wade Goodall and the rest of the Creative Destruction characters. Two diametrically opposed parts: this first one dodging cyclones and floods during the recent horrific run of natural disasters to hit Queensland.

"Heartbreaking images like this were all over the TV. Two people stranded on the roof of their house watching their town wash away, hoping that they could be rescued. The things that went down across Queensland and other parts of Australia were tragic. It made everyone appreciate the help from their neighbours and strangers alike."

"It made everyone respect the true power of the weather."

Stop crying about surfing crappy waves and how much better Bali is in your boardies and warm water. Try surfing in the UK in February. Funny how Aussies have this idea that the English whine so much!!!

As ever, a couple of great audio tracks makes all the difference on this. And personally I liked the painting montage, the rafting etc... all that stuff adds to the feel of a great little film.

Shut up, surf art rocks. It's cool, it's different and you're just jealous because you probably can't frickin' paint anyway.

Damn straight it's different, did you see the kinda stuff that those guys were painting? Totally different from any other type of art.

i agree also...... i hate it when i hear people say s**t like "well no wonder they're so good, growing up with waves like that every day". Its rare you see people post video and images of the best of the best making the most of less than good conditions. Keep it up guys. And keep the series coming.

I spend a lot of my time surfing, and enjoying, crap waves. I would not surf much if I didn't. I often wonder what a decent surfer would do in similar conditions and seeing those guys killing it in onshore double ups was refreshing and entertaining. It helps you to appreciate it more when it gets good once or twice a year.

That's awsome - there's nothing better than watching a bunch of shit airs on shitty waves...not that I could but please, really?

Or alternatively, nice to see good surfers do well in bad conditions? Certainly eradicates the "I could do that if I had the waves/conditions of spot X everyday" excuse! I agree with Opal below, top series.

Thought there might be more footage of the destruction in Australia, and was expecting a bit of a downer of a video, but Wade and his bunch always seem to know how to have a good time and keep the spirit light. Can't wait for the next part, and keep them coming - definitely my favorite series out there.
