[PT-Best of Bill]

Hurricane Bill drives high waves over 3 meters to the North coast of the Dominican Republic ... Encuentro© 2010 - adipalmer

ALL through the weekend our inbox was inundated with pictures of the Hurricane Bill swell. Starting down in the Caribbean here's wrap-up of the best of the bunch so far. The swell came in almost exactly as first predicted peaking at double overhead on the main spots. We thought at the peak of the swell on Saturday it would become almost out-of-control but as the pictures demonstrate it peaked just the right side of madness. Definitely the best three days of swell for Florida this year and just about as good as gets elsewhere. Pictured above the first hit of swell slams into the Dominican Republic courtesy of adipalmer. Click through for our selection of the swell so far.

Best of the bunch will receive a big wave board and the best of the rest will win Go Pro Cameras or Future Fin sets. If you still have pics and think you can do better than these then upload them HERE. You have till 9am UTC on Weds the 26th to get your submissions in before Magicseaweed and Transworld Surf sit down to nominate our favourites.

A not so secret spot north of Jacksonville was pushing double overhead with 10 mph offshore friday night and saturday morning. I think the swell peaked during the night on friday because it started to lose size during the day on saturday when it was supposed to be really filling it. It was solid 3-4 feet bigger there than it was anywhere in Jax.

You must admit, most readers with an education surpassing the 5th grade would naturally be incredulous of your local knowledge, particularly considering your inability to form a complete sentence and/or spell Volusia correctly. Stay hooked on phonics volushia.

There's no fool like an old fool (grandma lips). I was at Ponce saturday and it was on fire - I can't recall any "zoo" either. The waves were probably just too gnar for gradma.

We were at Flagler on Sat. and it was 10-12 with 15+ once in while. UNREAL power and humbling. I was calling him William by 9 am.

hahaha, bro I think you need to check your eyes. Was that 10-12cm? Most waves look like 3-4ft to me. But Casino Pier looks like it was going off!
