LOCAL Irish photographer and surfer, Marco Cavalleri, looked at the charts on the morning of January 25th and decided it was worth a peek over the Moher Cliffs above Aileens. Having earned his Brownie points with the family he was free to chase waves for the day.

Picture 5 is my favourite. Man alive, imagine paddling and seeing that drop! Feel sick thinking about it.

yeah i saw this day, sir Tom paddled into 2 bombs while Mickey and some1 else ran 2 skis as safety using the skis when they were caught inside, Tom then grabbed the tow rope and pulled into a beast that ripped his arm out of his socket!! ouch, best wishes Tom, hope you recover soon and back in the water

Pic 5 looks the best to me, sweet sweet drop in. they have more balls than a snooker table racked up. Fantastic swell in that day. Great photos and even better description. ;-)

Realy nice waves. It's so unusual to see a wave that size that's as clean as black ice. Wish I lived near there. Will just have to settle for the tiddlers we've been getting in North Cornwall this week.
