If you're a budding journalist or a dab hand with a video camera and a committed surfer we need you on the team. We'll send you some great kit, you just need to write a few words on it, or send us a video review. The best reviews will get the best kit and we'll keep sending it until you get bored of riding it...
To join the team you need to send a snappy, constructive and intelligent review of a piece of surf kit you're already using (it can be anything from leash to wetsuit, DVD, accessory etc) either in writing (photos will only strengthen the piece) or as a short video review. We'll select the best of them for the team.
Do I need to be a great surfer? No. We want a range of opinions from surfers of a range of abilities, if you're a standout at your local spot that's great, but you just need to be a committed surfer and regularly in the water regardless of ability.
Do I get to keep all the kit? Some yes, some no. We'd love to send you a full range of FCS fins, but we want the whole team to have a chance to ride them so we'll need to share them around. Other items like pre-release promo DVDs, accessories and neoprene will be yours to keep. We'll also be sending test team riders to events and demo days to ride the latest boards and get a taste for what's new in the industry.
What else do I get from you? Aside all this kit to test, the chance for your voice to be heard by over 750,000 surfers we'll give you a great discount on ANYTHING in our store.
How often do I have to write reviews and how long for? It's up to you, if you want to stop getting pre-release gear that's fine just let us know, all we ask is if we send you kit you put a little effort into letting our users know what you think of it.
How detailed do my reviews have to be? Go to town. The best photos and text and the most ingenious ways to test the claims of new product the better. Our best reviewers will be first in line for the latest and best product. Likewise for video reviews the bigger your effort the stronger our commitment to make sure you have your hands on the best of what we have to test.
