[PT-Steve Marchlewski's Review]
Steve Marchlewski
Live in South Devon, currently studying in London, surfing the south and east coast, Croyde and Bantham when I can get down there. Would describe my ability as progressing intermediate. Currently riding a 6'11' Maddog "fatboy" thruster as my 7'2'' Tunnel Vision got smashed by an airline!

The film is a biography of Clay Marzo, it focuses on his surfing and showcases his amazing ability without dwelling too much on his personal battles. First and foremost it is a surfing DVD, but it does give an insight into his childhood and his life since being diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.

The opening sequence barrages you with shots of Clay getting radical, and I mean radical. The manoeuvres he pulls will leave you gawping. This sets the tone for the rest of the film, the boy is seriously good. He can kill any face and ride any kind of wave and if you think you know what he is going to do next you're wrong, even he doesn’t know. By the end of the film you will have no doubt that he is one of the most creative and gifted surfers out there right now.
Clay does his own films and has done a surf-only edit for this DVD, this kind of sums him up, just surfing. There are interviews with top pros giving the take on Clay. Kelly Slater even says surfing with him was intimidating.

This DVD features some ridiculous surfing and will change your idea of what surfing is and how far it can be taken. Clay says “waves are toys from God” and he means it. So let’s get out there and play.

If you like Marzo's surfing this is a must see video. Take a look inside Clay's life and watch him struggle with sponsorships, freak out during surf contest's and eat everything in site! Good video.
