The most popular surfing area in Gran Canaria. Plenty of crowded, performance peaks, (El Piti Point, El Bufo, Los Muellitos) rideable 365 days a year. Suitable for every type of surfcraft and ability from local pros to beginners. Dawn patrols highly recommended.
This area of the city has changed from run down and neglected to one of regeneration with a growing comercial interest. An new avenue has damaged the sandbanks and on rainy days stormwater pipes dump gallons of dirty water into the line-up so surfing is ill advised.

This graph shows the percentage of days that had a ridable wind swell (7 seconds period or more) or groundswell (10 seconds period or more) of over 3ft. It also shows the dominant wind direction. Not all of these days will neccessarily give great surf, and very short lived wind swells or longer period secondary swells may produce surf not recorded, but it gives a clear idea of the seasonal trend and a rough guide to the chances of scoring something ridable.
