The area - Ericeira

Lapoint Surf camp Portugal is situated in Europe’s surfing Mecca, Ericeira, just 40 minutes north of Lisbon. Ericeira is well renowned for its good waves and many breaks and you can always find suitable spot, both for beginners and experienced surfers. The town centre is small and is within 15 minutes walking distance of the camp. Here you will find restaurants, bars and shops in a charming setting, with cobbled streets and small white houses. The town square holds many outdoor bars and cafés. This is usually where we meet up for a post surf beer after a long day of surfing.

What to expect?

Lapoint is synonymous with a pleasant atmosphere, plenty of surf, and meeting new people. This is what we guarantee. The rest is very much up to you. You are free to do whatever you enjoy doing. Some people spend all their time in the water and others take the opportunity to relax or try other activities. There are a large amount of things to do in and around Ericeira and we can help out with most of them. For instance, the town has a very nice skatepark and good roads for longboarding. Most of all though, this is the place to be if you want to surf in Portugal.

Our different packages

We offer several different packages tailored for different skill levels. Our coaches are some of the best surfers in Portugal and they will help you improve no matter what. If you have not surfed before you can start at Level 1, and if you are an experienced surfer, you can choose between professional coaching or just explore the area by yourself, with world class waves at a walking distance from the camp.

Surf Course Level 1 - 3© 2016 - Lapoint Surf Camps

Level 1
This level is perfect for those of you who have never surfed before, or have tried it a few times but never really gotten the hang of it. It will also suit complete beginners without surfing equipment, or those who have no idea where to start.

Level 2
Surf camp Level 2 is for those who have done some surfing before, had lessons, and feel comfortable standing up on the board. This is a continuation course with focus on taking you out the back and surfing green waves. The focus is also on surfing left or right on the wave, instead of just going straight ahead

Level 3
For surfers who have considerable experience, their own equipment, and want to make great strides in their surfing. Where do you look when you do a bottom turn? Where are your arms/shoulders when you do top turns? How do you manage a crowded line-up? Can you answer these questions?

This package is for those who can already surf on their own, have their own equipment, and only require comfortable accommodation and good company. You will live among other people interested in surfing, be within walking distance of good surf, and your breakfast will be served daily.

Sounds like something for you?
