Very large swells can wrap around Cap Ferret and break inside the Bassin d'Arcachon, throwing up tubey little rights. W winds are offshore but the hellish currents can make for bumpy rides.
Great view of the massive dune du Pyla in the background. There's more waves on the ocean side of Ferret, which will be smaller than those to the north, but plagued by strong currents.
