Mushy, gentle, long rights off a scenic point boasting great views of the Santa Barbara Harbor and Stearns Wharf. Ideal for beginners and longboarders. Can be really fun with bigger W swells or large windswells. More sectiony and lined-up at low tide, fatter at high tide. Surfers of all abilities crowd the line-up here, but it's almost always all longboards. Good vibes despite the crowding.
Access is by parking along Cliff Drive or La Marina Boulevard, or in the free car park at pleasant Shoreline Park. Take the trail down the bluff fronting the wave.

This graph shows the percentage of days that had a ridable wind swell (7 seconds period or more) or groundswell (10 seconds period or more) of over 3ft. It also shows the dominant wind direction. Not all of these days will neccessarily give great surf, and very short lived wind swells or longer period secondary swells may produce surf not recorded, but it gives a clear idea of the seasonal trend and a rough guide to the chances of scoring something ridable.
