Short, weak, yet popular beachies at Britain's most easterly break. Straight N swells should hit the best banks around Claremont Pier. The swell is robbed of any power by a massive offshore sandbank. Rippy and plenty of beach furniture in the shape of a pier and groynes, better at low to mid, although high can also have a shorey.
Polluted. Ample parking on coast road and pay car park by pier. There are some spots further south in Suffolk that pick up N-SE swells but generally speaking it is always bigger and better in Norfolk.

This graph shows the percentage of days that had a ridable wind swell (7 seconds period or more) or groundswell (10 seconds period or more) of over 3ft. It also shows the dominant wind direction. Not all of these days will neccessarily give great surf, and very short lived wind swells or longer period secondary swells may produce surf not recorded, but it gives a clear idea of the seasonal trend and a rough guide to the chances of scoring something ridable.
