 Although there's a cast on this section of wrist now (between the thumb and the radius), Mick Fanning's left scaphoid bone should be all healed up by the time the World Champ hits the water at Snapper next month. Joli/WPS
An excerpt from The Champ's latest diary entry:
"Here I am, Japan on New Years Day, I'm in Niseko on a snowboarding trip and the place is amazing. The snow is great but I didn't finish the year the way I thought I would. I fell and fractured my wrist, at first I didn'think it was that bad so I just strapped it and kept riding all day."
"I got home, took off my gloves and it didn't look so great. I decided to go to hospital just to make sure I hadn't done something bad. I saw the doc and he gave me the bad news that I had fractured my Scaphoid. It's not a really bad break but I have a cast ...
