We feel the newer data set offers a better forecast but this version may be useful to those who built a detailed understanding of the relationship between the old forecast and the wave on the beach or to compare with the new model.

About this Surf Forecast

This forecast covers all the west facing breaks on the Mull of Kintyre from Glenbar south to Machrihanish including Westport, Middle Beach etc.

Some local advice:
Swell height at beach is 1/3 of height at 62105, or height in metres at buoy = height in feet at beach. Needs direct west swell. Any kind of onshore/cross shore wind wrecks the wave as there is no shelter. Transit time of swell from buoy(62105) to beach is 12-15hrs. Minimum conditions are 7ft and 7secs with glassy sea, if worse than this, save yourself a drive!
