The classic, but fickle left of Manzanillo put Nicaragua under the spotlight when it appeared in Surfer Magazine under the false name of Punta Reloj. The swell needs to be big enough and south enough to wrap into the bay and ignite this outstanding pointbreak replete with tubular inside section. Since the point is surrounded by private property, a boat is essential for access, but worth the expense when everything aligns. Best at mid-tide.
