THE Relentless Energy Drink Super Series saw Micah Lester claiming first place in some of the best waves Thurso has seen for months.

The mantra of this tour is simple: the best UK waves and a waiting period to showcase these fickle cold spots in their Sunday best. To this end it's a limited invitee list, a realistic waiting period and some top Euro talent behind the lens. Hell even the edit is held back for a few days to get it looking top shelf.

	by all accounts, this contest was very unpopular with the locals. so, the question must be asked - why bother holding a contest in a different country (where it was not wanted by those who live there) if it's going to be won by an australian with a frenchman in second? so lame.

	Yeah, would've been good to actually see some surfing in it. why do all surf clips these days feel the need to show you the drive to the beach? shame because the few waves we did see looked amazing.

	Definitely, I love a bit of captivating videography as much as the next chap (and this is superb stuff) but that video was about 2 to 1 dominated by introduction. Leave it for the 40min dvd, or put some more minutes of surfing in there. Please

	True. 1:43 fist wave ridden. Looks lovely but next time not so much art in a short clip when it should have been focused on the surf comp!
