We are a registered company in Morocco, under the name Sunset Surf Company, S.A.R.L. And we are the only fully British-qualified beach lifeguard and surf instructors.
For guiding or lessons, we suggest accommodation at our surf camp at Villa Azure, but our services are available at any location, and we are happy to recommend and facilitate other options in the area.
The coast north of Agadir is surrounded by beautiful hills spilling into its numerous beaches. It is home to the perfect waves, from sandy bottomed beginners’ waves to long glassy point breaks. In winter, the low pressures in the north Atlantic generate long period groundswells that travel 1000s of miles to hit the coast of Morocco and produce the hollow barrels the area is famous for. For advanced surfers, the best time to come is October to February.
The small, laidback towns and the surrounding area not only hosts the world-renowned surf breaks Anchor Point, Killer Point, Dracula and Boilers, but also has a wide selection of waves for every need and capability, and also offers the most consistent waves to be found anywhere. Taghazout has been attracting foreign surfers since the 60s, and here you can find surf shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, Moroccan handicrafts and other amenities.
On flat days, you can visit Agadir’s souk, hike Paradise Valley, take a horseback ride, go quad biking, or get an argan oil massage at a hammam. Please let us know if you are interested in any of these activities, and we would be happy to make arrangements.
The chic and stunning Villa Azure was designed as a Moroccan riad and has all the Moroccan design touches you want when you’re in Morocco, with a warm and friendly environment. Its location, in a typical Berber village, is just 25-minute drive from the nightlife of Agadir, with Taghazout just a 2-minute drive down the road. The best surf spots are only a few steps away. You can easily walk to Crocodiles, Devil’s Rock and Banana Point.
This beautiful new build villa has 14 en-suite rooms, each with 1, 2 or 3 beds (no bunk beds and no shared bathroom!) and a choice of views: the beach or the garden, so you can’t go wrong. The rooms are all comfortable, welcoming and attractively furnished. Villa Azure’s big Moroccan salon has a 29-inch television, satellite, a DVD player, and wireless Internet access. The terrace is great for panoramic views of the ocean and for sunbathing.
Beware of hidden costs at other surf camps! At our surf camp, dinner is included. We don’t cram our customers in 8 to a room in bunk beds. And each room has its own bathroom!
For stays of 7 nights or more, airport transfer is included in the package price.
If you want the privacy and independence of an apartment and hire car for your holiday in Morocco, our apartments are all well appointed and ideally located. Each private apartment has a furnished balcony that overlooks the surf during the day and is engulfed in a blanket of stars every night.
So whether you want to check the waves for a dawny, sunbathe on the balcony or take it easy in the comfort of your own pad, our apartments have it all. All of our accommodations come with a fully equipped kitchen including a coffee maker, wifi, satellite TV as well as all of the standard appliances that you’re used to back home. A hire car is included in all self catering holidays so you can get to the surf when its on and explore this amazing country.

The first rule of our surf school is "look good, feel good, and you'll surf good". Good equipment is priority number one.

We love to surf, and we want to pass our passion on to you. Surfing is not just a sport; it’s an exhilarating feeling when you catch a wave. If you’re just starting out, our lessons will give you what you need to stand up.
For beginners, we recommend 5 days of instruction followed by equipment rental for the remaining days (with advice and guiding for those remaining days). Some people might feel that they need more time to improve, and you can book extra days of coaching if you feel you need it.
If you spend most of your working life behind a desk, we ask that you start going to the gym now. Swimming, push-ups, skipping rope, yoga, etc, will help you get fit to surf and you’ll finding surfing and standing up easier. Get fit to surf, not surf to get fit!

With us you won’t waste time just driving around to find the best surf. We don’t do the guiding by luck, like other surf camps. All we need is a few seconds to check the full coast then with our knowledge you can be taken directly to the best waves and we make sure to get you to the surf before everyone else.
