Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 1 May, 2007 : -
- Sunshine Coast’s Alexandra Headlands is set to host a wave of
Queensland’s ‘longboarding aces’ when the Na Papa Queensland Longboard
Titles rolls into town this weekend.
An 80-strong field from the Gold and Sunshine Coasts as well
as far a field as Yeppoon are set to battle it out for prestigious
Queensland titles over 11 hotly contested divisions. The U/18 boys,
Open Men, O/35 men, 0/40 men, O/45 men, O/50 men, O/55 men, O/60 men,
Open women, O/35 women and U/18 girls will all be contested.

October this year. Adding to the event’s already high stakes is the

Damien Coulter (Mountain Creek) and Trent Dickey (Noosa) in the open
men’s division, Rosie Locke (Cooroy) and Sharon Jackson (Alexandra
Headlands) in the open women, Mitch Surman (Nth Buderim), Brodie
Williams (Noosa) and Jackson Winter (Noosa) in the under 18 boys, Kelly
Winter (Noosa Heads) and Monique Keane in the under 18 girls, whilst
Harry Hatful (Maroochydore) and Gillies Fesselet will be looking to
stamp their authority in the over 45 men’s division.
Meanwhile, the Gold Coast’s finest prospects include Selby and
Tegan Riddle (Coolangatta), Mark McNamara (Currumbin), Mick Riddle
(Coolangatta), Robye Deane (Coolangatta) and Doug Warbrick (Currumbin).

5th May to Monday 7th May, 2007. Alexandra Headlands is the main event
site, however the tournament does have the option of going mobile to
the best surf on the Sunshine Coast. The ’07 Na Papa Queensland
