Outdoor Adventure is a residential activity centre situated in a cliff top position above the stunning Widemouth Bay in Bude, Cornwall.

As a centre we treat families, individuals, schools and other groups to activity based entertainment and learning trips as listed in our products below.

Come surfing for the day with us at OA Surf School or join us for a coasteering adventure at OA Coasteering.

OA Surf School

Our surfing lessons are run at Widemouth Bay, near Bude in north Cornwall near the border with Devon. It’s a fantastic beach with great waves for beginners at most stages of the tide and has the highest award for water quality you can get in Cornwall.There is plenty of parking and all you will need for a great day on the beach with lifeguards, toilets and a beach cafe.

Outdoor Adventure was one of the first surf schools offering surfing lessons in the UK almost 30 years ago and since then we have gone from strength to strength and are known for setting many of the benchmarks in the surf industry.
With our proven track record of delivering quality surfing lessons in Cornwall along with the highest standards of safety OA remains the ultimate place on the Cornwall - Devon border to learn how to surf or improve your skills

OA Coasteering

Coasteering takes you into an alien environment. You are actually at the point at which the sea meets the cliffs - one minute you can be traversing across barnacle-covered ledges and the next find yourself diving in to the sea to cross water-filled zawns!

It takes you into remote places with no other means of access. There will be sections to climb and scramble, together with swims around headlands into caves with the opportunity of cliff jumps of all sizes! It's a fantastic feeling being washed around by the waves and bobbing around in the ocean!

Coasteering must be run by experienced instructors, as you need excellent local knowledge and a real understanding of the ocean and weather conditions.
Our staff will pick a route to give people a fantastic adventure whilst making sure everyone sticks within their limits. This is the closest you will ever get to feeling at one with nature. On returning to civilisation, it feels strange as though you have been to another planet - you'll know you have just done something very special!
