Peniche, is since always a land of sea and waves. Of mild temperature, is situated in the West zone of Portugal, being of a stunning natural beauty. It has the happiness to be encircled by sea for all the sides, except for one, forming this wonderful peninsula: the PENICHE PENINSULA.

Beach

It is perhaps the place in Portugal with better conditions for surfing, not only for the amount and quality of its waves, but also for the fact of being a peninsula, allows off-Shore winds of any quadrant with the exception of west wind.

Of innumerable existing “spots”, it has waves for all the tastes. In the North coast, from Peniche to Baleal area, we find some waves with the ideal conditions for beginners, whereas in the South Coast are the waves for more experienced surfers, as it is the case of the wave of Supertubos, recognized internationally as one of the best in the World, being a beach break with very power and deep tubes, place of election for the best national and international surfers.

Historically Peniche received its first International Surfing Championship in 1977, culminating with the recent fixed event in the calendar of the World Tour of Surfing, as resulted of the excellent waves with that the mobile stage of the Rip Curl “The Search” drank a toast in 2009.

Surf Camp

Managed by two surfers with more than 15 years of experience the Ocean Ferrel Surf camp is situated in the road from Baleal to the colorful Ferrel, and has in the quality of the service that gives to its visitors, the great bet.4

Surf House

With individual rooms or apartments, the Ocean Ferrel Surf camp privileges the privacy of each one as a important more-value to visitors welfare, what in the case of the apartment it increases the possibility to have private kitchen.

Surf Camp

The diversion also has place, and the conviviality, therefore it stops beyond the existing room zone, still has a yard with the traditional oven and barbecue for moments of pure Gourmet conviviality and rest, that they so well deserve after a surfing experience.

Lessons

All the surf monitors that are responsible for the lessons/school of surf, have credential course by the Portuguese Federation of Surf.
