This is a great surf flick, think September Sessions meets the Dream Tour. Created by Chris Malloy of the Woodshed Films pedigree and shot in 16mm film, the film oozes quality with natural lifelike colours and that grainy feel that seems more real somehow even though it’s on the TV. So who’s in it? Kelly Slater, Sunny Garcia, Rob Machado, Joel Parkinson, Occy, Rabbit, Tom Curren, Taj Burrow, Andy Irons, Mick Fanning, Dane Reynolds, Jamie O’Brien, CJ Hopgood, Jordy Smith, Julian Wilson, Kolohe Andino and more.

So what’s it all about? Imagine wanting to know what made the best surfers in the world over the last four decades tick covering, who are, and were, their influences and how did one generations performance approach drive the next generation? Ultimately progressing the sport of surfing we see today. Reflecting on their past and why they approached surfing the way they did. What boards they ride? The design and why they liked it? How they wax their boards? All those questions we have all wanted to ask but dare not admit we do not know. The most poignant moment in the DVD is that all the top surfers say that surfing is all about the barrel. And how true is that!

On top of this the surf is insane, the surfing is amazing. Barrels galore, snaps, carves, cutties, all the airs you’ve ever seen and don’t know the names of, plus the other ones you wouldn’t have a chance at naming - backed by a soundtrack that fits snugly into your brain telling you to go surfing. Highly recommended for all surf addicts.
