Pacitan Surf Guide

Pacitan is small seaside town 2.5 hours drive away from the Central Java city of Jogjakarta. A strip of white sand beach lines the bay from the river and cliff to the east to the hill and small harbor to the west. There are several spots to surf within the bay, mostly beach breaks but a couple of sand covered reef type breaks too. Good for beginning to intermediate surfers. There are several other surf spots further west up the coast as well. Ask the friendly locals to show you around. Beachside accommodations are available but limited, most hotels being closer to the downtown area, 5-10 minutes drive to the beach.
