Palm Beach County Orthodontist joins dad in surfing Hall of Fame

WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- It's easy to see all around their orthodontist office in West Palm Beach that Scott McCranels and his father are passionate about surfing.

The father and son team share their workload, and a one of a kind honor; to be inducted into the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame.

"I think it's one of the greatest honors of being inducted is that my father was already inducted in 2002. So I was the first father and son combination and I got to be part of that," Scott McCranels says.

His father, John McCranels says, "You're kinda like a renegade. You're out of the box so it's nice when you get honored, it puts you in a favorable lifestyle healthy box…and that's nice."

Scott, and his father, nicknamed "Chummer" are legends of Palm Beach County surfing.
