Hollow, fast and shallow are often used to describe Tahitian waves and definitely apply at this distant fringe of reef. Needs as much water as possible and some S in the swell to stop it shutting down horribly. The bonus is a lack of crowds and occasionally the right across the fast flowing channel will fire.
