A concentration of some of the best spots in Brittany, with some hollow and powerful waves on a 2km stretch. Port-Blanc gets shelter from a cliff, Port Marie breaks far offshore and Port-Rhu is a well-defined, localized peak, while Port-Bara is more accessible. Handles size, when the waves and rips get punishing. Often crowded on weekends. Since 1987 a law states only French Surfing Federation members can surf here. Right in the centre of Quiberon is the most sheltered spot of the Peninsula. West winds are blocked by the port and waves are better at low tide except for bodyboarders that like the shorebreak. Quiberon's paddleboard race is held every year on August 15th.
