In association with Gibson GuitarQuiksilver the boardsports, lifestyle brand, has launched the ultimate Unsigned music search this autumn in conjunction with Gibson Guitar and MySpace. The search is now live! Quiksilver will be on the look out to find the best music talent that the UK & Ireland have to offer. Quiksilver are searching for a mix of talented Bands, Solo artists and an enigmatic rock chick who can either be the front woman of a band or a dynamic female solo artist*.
The winners will be rewarded with the official title of ‘Quiksessions Unsigned Ambassador‘ and will be invited to play in front of surf royalty at the Quiksilver Pro France WCT surf event (Hossegor, France) taking place on 23rd September. Other engagements will include the Tony Hawk Show (Paris, France), launch parties, and film premieres such as ‘Cloud 9’ starring Quiksilver’s ninth time World Surfing Champion, Kelly Slater. As if that wasn’t enough you will also receive £500 worth of Quiksilver clothing each season.
All you need to do to enter is log onto Quiksessions Unsigned at
www.myspace.com/quiksessionsunsigned and submit a short clip of you or your band performing your favourite song. All videos will be put into a ‘best of’ video playlist which will be updated on a weekly basis and will remain onsite until the competition closes on 14th September 2009.
Once Quiksilver and the judges have picked out a shortlist the semi finalists will be contacted and asked to upload another one minute video, answering a set of questions about themselves for the next stage of the competition. The winners will be chosen based on their musical ability and personalities.
