Hey lads, this movie is the biggest inspiration I have ever seen. Thanks god I started my little surf experience on this coast (not exactly the same spots :) ). I showed this to my friends and everyone was amazed.
Btw Is there any chance to get or find a downloadable higher quality? I would even pay for this would be so amazing. Can even supply server for upload etc. Thanks
Lads, congratulations on the making of an amazing underground video. I loved the soundtrack. Everything just fits. Can't wait to hit the West Coast. Itching just 2 grab my board & go lol. Ireland is more becoming a spiritual place for surfers alike. Keep up the good work lads. Amazing...
Moving, motivating and inspiring for all cold water surfers pushing boundaries and documenting their efforts. A privilege to witness. Thanks for sharing it.

Loved it. Quality production, with (needless to say) amazing surfing and camera work from all involved.
Also, the music was absolutely superb. Australian and US surf DVD-makers take note: this is what a good surf-DVD soundtrack sounds like. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Edward_Barker)
The spirit of surf is hard to translate in a video. This film captures what most of people feel when they surf with a few mates in a cold water, under a dark sky. This is real surf, far from US and Oz's superficiality. Peace from France.
A meal for the spirit. Unbelievable contrast to the usual mindless surf film twaddle of wave slashing to loud inappropriate music. Tune in; turn on; zone out. Many many thanks for making this work of art available for free.
That short was excellent. As all big wave surfers these lads have nads but cold water Teahupo This 100% Italian got a lil Shelaylead (chq the spelling) over it Cant wait to visit Irl.
Damm good surf movie not like any other. Excellent that it shows other places way off the beaten path and new great surfers. Cheers guys!
Dale Irlanda!:)
A unique bold vision that stands proudly above any recent surf film. Capturing what eludes so many, the all consuming passion of riding waves. A magnificent achievement.
Just amazing big surf and big depression with the weather !! And we fell cold when is 10 c here down south, sunny and full of people in the water ....look up to irish surfers ....keep going
If you're in to this kind of work (which most people with taste will be) then you should check out more of Rich Stewart's (the photographic director) work which you can find here: http://www.rsdop.com/
a mate of mine shot this on location...jammy bar steward. as we have said many times, would you see andy irons, kelly slater et al surfing these spots??? ney, and we wouldn't want to see them. r e s p e c t to the west coast irish massiiiiiive
Leading edge, higher vision on all levels of story and production AND SURFING. The music was perfect. Exceptional mood catching creation. Artists all of you. Thanks. Surfed Ireland a couple of years ago. The locals shared their secret spots and love of the ocean. Wow! Looking forward to my return to feel the vibe again. Peace.
Great vid. Blew me away and made me reaise what a wuss I am for backing off comparatively limp beachbreak waves. The pics that I've seen of these slabs just don't do them justice. Heavy and wild. I guess that the dark, sombre and slightly gothic feel of the vid is intended to tie in with the Relentless brand? Anyway, respect to them for backing these guys.
Superb editing, gripping story of legends in the making and of course the Emerald Isle in all it's glory (and intense gloom at times!). What thouroughly amazed me apart from the waves was at how humble Tom,Fergal and Mickey are! For many of us we'd be frothing at the gash and thinking we're super human riding pioneering stuff like this. But for them it's their reason to exist and none of us had any idea that it was going on until it's done! Well done fellas!! Tom you're indestructible taking Aileens lip in the head!!
Savage vid! Best Irish surf flick bar none! Respect to the boys, they are pushing the limits like no-one else in Ireland! This vid is better than many I have paid £20+ for, don't miss it!!
Keep chargin lads! :)
niceee video!! ive surfed in ireland...it doesnt look dat miscerable! jajaj the put way to many shots of graveyards and gloomy stuff jaja!
anyway! on sunny day and good waves! it looks even more stunning ;)
awesome stuff ferg and tom gud to see some stand up chargers pushing the limits in this country makes me wanna go push myself more(not like you boys tho cus ur crazy !!!! haha ),really motivating insprational film for those who know and love the pain and joy of irish winter surfing. mickey smith you are a legend, never thought when i first watched redefyned you would be producing such a high class film on these shores. antics of surfers and footage blow all other irish surf films (with the exception of litmus) out of the water. best film since the occumentry!!
brup brup brup!!!
you blokes are some of the biggest legends iv ever had the privilege to watch doing wot you love. very down to earth and super humble plus a great attitude...dont sell out lads do it for you!
This is one of the best vids ive seen, absolute charges, huge ups to these guys. Great to see some low profile guys going mental. I just hope for their sake they dont expose to much.
Great stuff! And nice to see something of the man behind the lenses too- Mickey Smith, bringing the thick end of the european surf wedge right to our eyeballs. Cheers!
I'd just echo the sentiment from one of the other comments: this is actually a non-overtly commercial beautifully shot and produced narrative worth paying for. So quality! Congrats to the entire crew and to the 3 maniacs! Bless Ireland!
How can you say its 'non-commercial' when theres a Relentless logo every minute? Mick, Ferg and Tom have been doing their own thing and good on them for that and Relentless (as in the CocaCola corp) have just hi-jacked it for their own ends... I just hope the surfers are making some coin from them...
This is the most refreshing surf video I have seen in recent times - both inspirational and humbling. Congratulations to all those concerned in the making.
This is a really well made piece of work. Really enjoyed it, and it emphasises the magic of surfing in ireland, heading down to a deserted beach on the west coast in the early morning in winter, with wild horses in a nearby field, perfect surf, nobody around, amazing. This had much more of an impact on me than waveriders, which I saw recently, also very good but doesnt quite capture the mood as well as this film does.
Sea Fever was pretty horendous - using the same photage over and over again and pretty amatuer interviews etc
Waveriders wasn't much better - 35 minutes about Hawaii and California. Well made though overall and last 5 minutes of that mongo day was savage.
This documentary is savage. Fair play to the boys. Heavy waves, surfed well, shot fisheye, and edited and produced nicely.
I would've paid for this one compared to the money I wasted on the others.
