BUT taking your surfboard can be difficult and at times become a real nightmare.

It starts with just getting to the airport then dealing with the check in - do they take boards and if so what are the surcharges ?, ( remember you have to deal with this as well on the return journey where the rules/staffing may be different).

Once you arrive at your destinantion you then hit the baggage claim and cross your fingers and hope that your board took the same plane as you and that it has arrived in one piece!

Assuming it has you then have the hassle of getting you and your 2m board bag from the airport to your hotel .If you travel with a long board or SUP it just makes things even more of a challenge.

Travelling with a surfboard is a nightmare and expensive- but we do it because trying o find the right board to hire at your destination is time consuming and you have no confidence in the boards that may or may not be available.

We have created this website so you can reserve in advance your surfboard, longboard or SUP at your destination and know exactly what board you are renting, that it will be good quality and will probably cost you less than transporting your own board, let alone saving a load of the hassle !

What does Rentasurfboard.com do?

We enable you to book surfboards online from shops in your chosen resort. Rentasurfboard.com acts as a surfboards booking agent for shops throughout the World. We make a booking for surfboards with a shop for you.

Will I get the model I asked for?

Yes, most of the time. Most shops provide us with a list of models available in each category and you can choose from those. The shop will normally provide the model that you have chosen. However due to the fixed numbers available please be prepared to accept an alternative model of at least the same standard, if not better. Not getting the model chosen does not allow you to refuse the equipment and claim a refund, although not getting equipment from the category chosen does.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, if the booking has not started and you contact us at least 1 week before the first day of the commencement of the booking. Rentasurfboard.com will refund the amount that you paid online, minus a cancellation charge. The cancellation charge is specified during the cancellation process and is no more than 8 EUR (this varies according to the currency and country chosen).

How do I pay for my booking?

When you book on rentasurfboard.com you pay the full amount by debit or credit card.

You will be required to pay by debit or credit card online to complete the booking. All transactions are carried out on a secure server where your information is encrypted and kept away from prying eyes. Any remaining amount is paid to the shop in resort when you collect your equipment.

How do I pay my deposit?

Depending on the shop you have chosen, you may be offered the possibility to leave a deposit online. That is a security for the shop in case you don’t return the board, but this transaction will never be charged if you take the board back. If you don’t want to pay online, you will have to pay it to the shop once you are on the spot.

Where do I get my surfboard from?

When you arrive in resort, simply go to the place indicated on your voucher and pick up your equipment. You may be asked to produce a proof of identity, so take along a passport or something similar. In case you haven’t left the deposit online, you may also be required to leave it before you pick up the board. You may either present them with the confirmation booking form that you have printed off this web site, or simply quote the booking reference. You must have the booking reference in order to confirm your booking with the shop.

If you have selected the delivery to your hotel, please stay in your room at the time you have advised on the booking form. The board will be delivered directly to your room if you have entered the correct hotel details.

How risky is it?
