Seaworthy is the long-awaited second offering from independent operator, Nathan Oldfield, the maker of the highly regarded and award winning underground film
Lines From a Poem. Nearly three years in the making, Seaworthy documents a variety of individuals and the different way they approach wave riding. The film presents a left of centre look at diversity in surfing, including alaias, olos and toothpicks and singlefins.
A captivating film that, much like a good wine, demands to be savoured, absorbed and given the time that it deserves. Patrick Cummins
Acclaimed by our reviewers, this is a film which could easily have become a self-parody, yet another look at surfing's history with a few oddly-shaped wooden boards for authenticity. However it delivers on numerous levels, providing an authentic perspective on why people choose to ride such different wave-craft.
The surfing on display is excellent, if you’re into longboarding and the more retro side of the sport this would be a very worthy addition to your library... Personally I really like surf films with a bit of depth and meaning behind them and this one in my mind really doesn’t disappoint. Couple this with an eclectic soundtrack and I feel you’ve got one of the best surf films of 2008.Richard de Beaufort
