[PT-Richard de Beaufort's Review]

As far as a little description goes I'm a designer who started surfing on the South Coast but now lives in Manchester. I got into surfing through friends at university and would consider myself of average ability. I ride a 6'6" Black and White quad-fish and I can mostly be found at Boscombe, Croyde, Saunton and Hell's Mouth. I love the fluidity and style that some surfers have mastered on fishes, and that's where I'm trying to progress style wise. It's just taking longer than I wanted.

Opening the parcel at first I was a little disappointed with the packaging and the graphics of the DVD, and with no booklet or real intro I was left wondering what to expect from this new Tim Davies release, his previous one being Step Into The Realm.
Once the film had got underway I must admit it more than lived up to my expectations. The soundtrack was excellent and really set you up for the rest. There is some world class surfing on display here, in some equally world class locations. The likes of Jordy Smith putting in some real effort in very heavy Hawaiian waves, and Kelly Slater’s very impressive layback! It was also nice to have a little bit of British representation in the form of Alan Stokes, who seems to be having a great time in Central America.
The editing has been done well, and the action is broken up with some nice travel shots, which really make you realise how important it is to get out there to see and experience these places for yourself. There is a cool little ‘Surf Amp’ section to help you get a quick fix before a surf too.
All in all this is a nicely put together and very watchable release, it’s just a shame that the artwork and packaging let it down a little. I can definitely seeing this having a lot of outings in the DVD player.
