Racing the Emerald Curtain
Sidewalk can be a perfect, long and mellow righthander, or an angry fast tube full of shut-down sections. This spot breaks down a natural rock spit, is ideally exposed to the NNE, and is a lovely longboard wave when small. Often bumpy and angry looking - it is one to check while passing and you might just get lucky.
Salangadeke Island may have some more waves on the shallow fringe of reef on the southern tip but currents and swell filtering are likely to be high.
